Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Kibale Forest
On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met and welcomed by our company representative together with the driver / guide and embark on your journey to Kibale forest national park driving through Mityana road.
The journey takes between 4 and 5 hours with lunch en-route in Fort Portal town. Proceed to Kibale forest arriving in the afternoon / evening. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee forest guest house.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest
Wake up to a hot cup of coffee or tea and go to the park headquarters for briefing about Chimpanzee tracking rules and regulations and later head into the forest with the ranger guides for Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest national park. The guides will educate you on the different tree species in Kibale forest as you follow the noisy calls of the elusive primates.
While tracking chimpanzees, there other primates to be explored in the area like the golden monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys and pottos. Other animals include forest elephants unique from the common type and giant forest hogs.
Return to the lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon, go for a guided nature walk to Bigodi wetland; a good site for birders. The Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek can easily be marked among the other 137 bird species. There is also an array of butterfly species.

Day 3: Back to Entebbe and Departure
Have breakfast and go for a visit to Amabere Ganyinamwiru stalagmites site and caves with a waterfall in Fort Portal as well as a visit to the crater lakes with a great view of the Rwenzori mountain foothills. Embark on your journey back to Entebbe with lunch en-route and drop-off at Entebbe airport for your onward flight.
